I'm trying to find information on what would cause a person to overheat really easily. It's like hot flashes but I'm not menopausal and it has been happening for approx 4+ years. If I do anything (like walking to the kitchen even), I get really hot and sweat and once I get hot, it takes me a long time to cool down. When I get too hot, I end up with a really bad headache. Does anyone have any suggestions of something I could research to try to figure out what is causing it? I would welcome any suggestions... thank you in advance.

Have you been to a physician about this problem? A homeopathic doctor may be able to help.

It is menopause. Put an icepack on your head and deal with it. Good luck

If you are getting overheated while going into the kitchen (usually a warm area), than you might have some intolerance or sensitivity to heat.

That could be caused by taking
- amphetamine (ie.appetite suppressants)
- caffeine
- having menopause (which you feel you haven't)
- or suffering from thyroxicosis (overactive thyroid gland)

Hormones produced by the thyroid gland controls how the body uses energy. Overproduction, among others, could lead to heat intolerance, and increased sweating.

There could be many reasons for this overproduction, from serious to harmles (like consuming too much iodine). However, it also can cause lot more symptoms, like dizziness, fainting, palpitations, rapid pulse, vomiting, and visible signs, like enlarged thyroid, protruding eyes. These are just a few symptoms of the many possible ones, and mind you, not all sufferer have the same symptoms.

The only one who can answer your question is your doctor. You might also need some tests.

Hope, it gave you some idea. Wish you the best !

You really should talk w/ your Doc about your Pituitary gland. A tumor in that area would cause such symptoms.
