I am trying to help my daughter with her science project and was wondering what kind of education does one have to have to get a degree in zoology. And do you work a lot in zoos or in vet clinics. Are there any one type of animal that you specify in or do you have to have knowledge about a lot of different animals even endangered.

Zoology doesn't really have a lot to do with zoos, it is a complete study as explained below:

Definition: What is Zoology?
Zoology is the branch of biology that concerns itself with the study of animal life. Zoologists primarily study animal form and function, evolution, genetic diversity, and interaction with the environment.
