I saw a movie in the 1970s that had a guy smokes a cigar that came from his gun clip after the fight and his friend would kick balls fro his shoe the movie was not adios sabata

I hate to disagree with you, but I think it *is* Adios, Sabata. Two different commenters at imdb.com note: "One of them creatively kills his opponents by foot-kicking metal bullet-like projectiles at them" and "I also like Brynner's sawed-off rifle with the clip that loads from the side. He keeps a cigar in the last chamber and lights it up after every gun battle."
