My dog is 11 months old, last week she had bloody stool, diahrea, she wouldn't eat and was vomiting, so I took her to the vet. They gave her x-rays and a ultrasound... they say she has gastroenteritis and they gave me "metronidazole" it has now been 7 days and she has not gotten any better. She still has all the same symptoms, except now there's also a clear mucus in her stool. I don't know how to get this to stop, and how to get her eating again. Her stomach is also making a lot of gurgly sounds now. Please help!

Your dog has the classic signs of worms. Did the vet check dog for worms as that is usually a good reason to have mucus in poop and not eating. Usually round worms.

Did the vet not suggest a follow-up visit? I agree with the above about worms, but if she still isn't eating, you need to take her back to the vet and not only get her tested for worms, but if she was diagnosed with an additional intestinal illness, and the meds aren't helping, she perhaps needs further testing. I would take her in now before she gets any sicker, and the vet bills start to climb.
Good luck, and I hope she's all right! Keep us updated. :)
