someone please help me, my girlfriend is moving to Arizona,and she is giving me her 15x30 oval pool. The thing is,I must remove it from her home and reinstall at mine. I have the bodies to do this,my question is; what tools would I need to safely remove this pool without ruining it or not being able to reinstall. Please note; we have never done this before,and I really can't afford to hire a professional to do it at this time. If anyone has any vital information on this project I would really appreciate it as the summer will fly by,and I would really love to get some use of the pool this year.

How old is the pool? If it's over 5 years old you might prepare yourself to get a new liner for it and replace some of the plastic coping around the top, as it gets brittle with age and is hard to remove in one piece. Many of the bolts may be rusty and might break or be impossible to turn so you may have to replace some of them also.
If you get to the point where the liner is removed and you see a lot of surface rust on the inside of the pool wall, it may not be feasible to reuse it.

I just recently took down my 15ft x 30ft above ground swimming pool. We installed it 26 yrs ago! Since we haven't used it in the past 10 yrs, and I am 64, decided to take it down. I finally hauled it off to the trash! No one wanted it, cause it was so old.
OK, now for your question. Do you have the original installation manuals? The paperwork that came with the pool, showing the order in which it was installed?
If not, it will be a little more difficult.
How old is the pool? If it's more than about 5 yrs old, there will be rusted bolts and nuts, that might need cuting off, instead of just merely unscrewing.

I was told the pool is approx 5 yrs old. I believe I can get the instruction manual because the owner knows where he bought it and I located the manufacturer of the pool. All I need to do now is get the paperwork.

hello everyone,I recently posted a question about removing an inground pool from one house to reinstall it at another. I don't know who had told me this but they said, to look for any oxidation on the pool wall. Well,I sent my sons and a few of their buddies to remove the pool today, they worked really hard for 4 hours, and they finally got it down. I give them a heads up for helping me out now for my question ,I see a little bit of that white powdery residue type of stuff that I believe is oxidation on only one section of the pool wall. The pool is still rolled up in my back yard it has not been put back up yet. Should I be concerned? Will it be bad a bad idea to p ut it back up? And is there any way I can clean or remove this ? P l e a s e h e l p!! I was so happy to have my friend give me the pool for free. It is a 30x15 oval 5 yrs old.

I also was given a used 15 x 30 oval above ground pool, and the wooden deck also... we took it down and hauled it to our property... the pool is about 5 yrs. Or older. So far it has cost us $665.00 for a new liner and black pad for the bottom, $1600.00 to have it put back up because my husband refused to do it after he had to take it down... now the sand filter and pump is acting up, but they are original to the pool. My main problem is sand in the bottom of the pool. A new sand filter and pump will cost approx. $425.00. I absolutely love my pool! Maybe I should have bought a new pool... soon I will have replaced just about everything except the pool wall!
