Some people are still fixing lawnmowers, God bless you ! I just got my snowblower out, got it started, ran pretty well (it's up and down, which makes me think that some engine components are getting wet, but that's another story. After dying in a huge drift, the starter cord broke, deep, deep inside the machine. Anyone know how and what to take apart in order to fix it?

Thanks.

There is a sticky in the top of this section that addresses this problem.

It's not too expensive to remove the surrounding components and take just that part to a lawn mower shop.

Hi,
I see that the starter is fairly well buried in the shrouds and the starter rope comes through the dash. Toro has parts look-up online. The pertinent model is a 39180, and there serial number breaks though all appear to use a 2 stroke Suzuki engine.
