I know that you are suspose to have a period after you complete prometrium. I have a period every month but it is not on a 28 day cycle. My OB doc. Put me on the meds because he found a small cyst on my right ovary and told me that it will help me to ovulate and a pregnancy. Could I be pregnant because I have not started my period and its been 5 days since the last pill. What are my chances of becoming pregnant or what are my chances that I am pregnant. Me and my husband are really trying to conceive and I'm ready to have another little one.

Have you had cycles already with being on the progesterone? You might be pregnant, but it can take several days for a period after the progesterone as well. Maybe give it another few days and see if you get your period or not. You can always try a pregnancy test at that time if need be. Good luck!

Well I did have a period that month. My doc put me on them because he found a small ovarian cyst on my right ovary. But when I completed it my doc. Told me that I should have a period. I have been having a little cramping with no bleeding. And then it the bottom of my stomach have been feeling kind of tight and I have been using the bathroom a lot. So when will I be able to take a hpt?I go back to see my doc. Jan. 28. We are hoping for a pregnancy.

Give it another week and see what happens... if no period still, try a test at that time. Good luck!

If you had unprotected sex, there will be a possibility. If progesterone levels were a possible issue for you in being able to conceive, than using the Prometrium may have helped. Whether it will help you get pregnant so quickly remains to be seen. For some people things take effect right away and everything falls into place... for others it can still take some time.
Since it is not uncommon for it to take several days before a period occurs after the last pill, you'll just have to wait and see... difficult to wait, I know!

Hey its me again. I just wanted to let you know about my status.. Well I took a pregnancy test about 4 days ago and it came back positive and then I took another one last night and it came back positive also. WOW we are so excited and hope this one works out for the best. So since the test came back about how many weeks should I be. I was thinking around three. I am so glad and I just want to say thank you for all your advice and hope you will be there again if I have any more questions... Thanks...

Yay! Congrats! When was your last period? Your doctor will give you a rough idea of how far along you are going from that, but a later scan will likely alter your dates a bit. What an exciting way for you to start the new year... wishing you a smooth pregnancy!
