Hello right I have had little contact with access and I have put it on a machine and when the user tries to open a datebase with it he is confronted with please install GX service pack 8.
The way the user explained the error to me it might be for swear words and obscene things if not then just say so anyone know what this is?
Thanks for your help

Ahhh, Access calls the database engine it uses JET. Sounds like you installed an older version of Access and the particular database being used is a newer version which requires the latest Jet engine.
I would check for Updates for the particular version of Office that is installed.

Ahhh I thought it might have been a version miss match so can I just get a new version of access of do you need to purchase JET?

Nope, no need to purchase it. You can download the latest version for free or install a newer version of Access.
