I'm 21 and m suffering from PCO (polycystic ovaries). I ve been on medication since 1 year and the results are better. I'm sexually active. Would my being sexually active worsen my PCO problem. Lately I took an emergancy pill to avoid pregnancy.. would that affect my PCO problem?
My other question is is it possible to get pregnant if we do not use a protection but he does not ejaculate inside me and even if I do what are the symptoms to know that I'm pregnant and how much time ll it take for me to realize that I'm pregnant. Due to some situational problems I can't take a home pregnancy test every time.. is there any other way to know this?

The sexual activity and emergency pill shouldn't be an issue with your PCOS. However, you are playing a game of chance by not using protection. Sure, it can be more difficult to become pregnant when you have PCOS, but it is not impossible. Yes, you can become pregnant even when he does not ejaculate in you because sperm can be present in the fluid that is produced just during arousal. If you don't want to take the chance, use some sort of protection every time.
As far as knowing if you do become pregnant, since your periods are probably not very regular?? you will have to rely on other possible symptoms which can vary from person to person. You may notice an increased need to urinate, that you are more tired than normal, some mild cramping (like period cramps perhaps), heightened sense of smell, nausea, headaches, nipple tenderness, darkening of the areolas... these are some of the more common symptoms... some may show up fairly soon after conception, some not for several weeks, some not at all. Many can be very similar to when a period is about to come on for some women, so it can be confusing.
