I have two friends , they are over 70 years old , they want me to take care of them in my house , I live with my husband only , we have 4 bedrooms , do I need special permitts in order to do this?

What state are you in so we can look up any specific state laws.

I would say if they want to move in with you you could do it as a renter issue. If they have special care needs and it is going to be more like a nursing home care thing I would guess you might need special permits, etc...

Are you going to do this free or will you expect to be paid.

If you are being paid, and this is not a relation ( family member) it is possible that you are falling under a private nursing or assited living facility.

This could prove to be tricky for you if you don't do it properly as caring for people in your own home might involve you dispensing medications to them. You might be setting yourself up for a lawsuit or jail time if you don't have the proper credentials such as being an RN or LPN.
