Hey All...

First I want to say I have finally healed and I am over "I am a coward who dumps you in a text boy".

So now I have a new question. There is a boy who I have been "friends" with on line for several years. We met on a web board of our favorite band. Now when we first used to talk we did not know what each other looked like... then a few years later came myspace and our relationship became a little more flirtatious. So after years of chatting and flirting we finally met over Thanksgiving. ( I will also add this was a chance meeting as I had missed my flight home and had just a little time to meet him for drinks) Man oh man is he gorgeous!!

Anywhoo since then he has asked my permission to send me text and he has been texting me every night... not that I want another freakin text relationship but I am wondering (this is where you guys come in to play) what are his intentions? Is he just bored or does he have interest?

I live in Nor Cal and he is in So Cal. But I return to So Cal several times a year and expect that one day I will grow old of city life and return to So Cal.

I think he has an interest. I mean, I won't text people if I don't want to talk to them. Maybe he just wants to take it slow and is too shy to say, "Can I call you every once in awhile." I mean, there isn't too much detail in the story, but if he stays in contact then I would assume he is attracted to you. Do you honestly think that if he wasn't somewhat interested in you he would take the time to contact you? I know I would never contact a girl if I wasn't intersted in her, especially if they lived a long distance away. Hope this helps you a bit more, lighten up huh? I was just joking the first time around.

I appreciate your humor.

I would imagine he has interest in me. But I didn't want to be "psycho crazy reboud jumps to conclusions girl"

Pen pals are great, so are text buddies, and phone friends, but you never know some one until you spend enough face time, to be able to judge for yourself, their character and intentions, or if their actions match their words.

Just my opinion, it to easy to fall into fantasy, rather than see the reality.

LDR's are hard on the best couples, so see if this link helps. It's a good read for insights, and perspective.

At this point I am not looking to have a long distance relationship. I was just kind of curious what his insight might be?

I mean even just sending me text when we are far apart just seems a little odd even though I enjoy talking to him...

I guess I will have to wait and see if he makes an effort to come see me when I return home for the Holidays. I know I will make an effort to see him. He has talked about coming up to visit and check out the city.

BUT I will read that link you sent!

Thanks!

If you guys enjoy talking to each other.. keep on doing it

There are couples that are in long distance relationship that talk a lot less.

Once a week.

So nothing is really odd.

I think he likes talking to you
As you like talking to him.
