I own a 1993 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera with 68,000 original miles. I've owned it for 4 years and the only problem I've had was when the battery ran down when I first got it.

This morning, I try to start the engine but it won't turn over. It didn't make any noise, or any attempt to turn over. Nothing! The lights, dashboard, radio all come on but nothing happens with the engine. I have a battery charger and I used that the last time the battery ran down but I don't know if it's the battery. I have noticed that the windows/power seats/power locks are sluggish and slower than they once were. Sometimes the windows/seats won't move unless I turn the radio off for a while. So, it could be that the battery has a low charge... but I don't know.

Take the battery to have it professionally checked. The age of the battery has a lot to do with it holding a charge or not. If it's over 3 years old it probably needs replaced. Don't just think using a charger is the answer.

Odds are you need a new battery.

That's what I'm thinking. It hasn't had a new battery in several years.

Like I said above, if it's over 3 years old more than likely it is almost dead and can't be revived.
