Can any onetell me how to remove windows media player 9 as a default player.and keep I tunes 8 as a default player.

Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs > Add/Remove Windows Components

Actually, what you want is to change the default associations to iTunes, not uninstall media Player.

Right click on the file type you want to associate with iTunes and select Open With. Then select iTunes and check the Always Open box.

Actually I have Microsoft multimedia keyboard so there is a key of music player.so when you press the music button on keyboard then windows media layer is getting in action and not itunes.so how to activate itunes by pressing the music button and not windows media player

You should have some configuration software for your keyboard that allows you select what action eack key does. You'll have to find that and change the music player key to assign it to iTunes.

That's a different story. Should have mentioned that right off the bat. As Need said, this has to be setup depending on the configuration capabilities of the keyboard. Considering it's a Microsoft keyboard, it may not be configurable to change those options.

I have checked to change the setting(configure) in keyboard properties but was unable to do that.microsoft doesn't have configuration properties.even I tried to remove windows media player from add or remove option but was unable to.

Like I said, it may be hardcoded to use Microsoft products.
