Have a lexmark printer (7300 series) and when I set up and installed printer driver now it won't even print. I reinstalled cd, but to no avail

I need a lot more help from you.
How is the printer physically connected to the computer?
How did you configure the printer's setup?
What Operating System are you using (Win XP or Win Vista)
If you disconnect the printer from the computer, can you enter the printer's maintenance menus and print self tests?
After you installed the printer, can you print a test page from the operating system to the printer?
