Dec.31 2008 had 20,000 outstanding shares of common stock issued and outstanding
Following March 1st 2,500 additional shares were sold
Sept. 1 another 2,500 additional shares were sold
Dec.5 a 2-for-1 stock split was declared and was payable on dec.31 to stockholders of record on Dec.21.
Net income for 08 was 312,000
1.) what is the weighted average outstanding?
And
2.) determine EPS available to common stockholders , assuming 2 years of preferred dividends are in arrears.
