Hi, My son and his ex-girlfriend where living together and split the end of July, still seeing each other though off and on. She found out she is preganent and swore it is my son's baby.. He went to OB-GNY with her and all that and last week went and saw the baby on an ultra-sound, it is a very active baby girl... you should have seen the look on my son's face it was priceless.. I was invited by his ex to go back there and also see the baby on the ultrasound.. she is supposedly 18 weeks, of course on Dec 22 the doctor will tell for sure how far along she is with the measurments and all... My son was told recently that when they broke up she had an affair and thinks it is this other man's baby... now she won't give my son any rights at all.. won't let him be a part of the unborn child.. no doctor's appointments.. and won't be in on the delivery at all.. she said she isn't even going to give the baby his last name.. she plays the State of Florida system to the FULLEST!! She has 3 other children 7, 4,3 by three different fathers and she has never been married.. now she is telling my son he has NO rights at all... how do you go about finding out if this baby is his now? We don't have money and I know to go too a lawyer would be a lot of money... we are at our wits end on this and not sure what to do.. she is an awful mother and if it is my son's baby he wants full custody of her.. how do you do that custudy of an unborn child? And until the baby is born has no rights, You can not get custody of a unborn baby. After the baby is born he can try and get some level of custody.

It is impossible to tell who the father is at this point. Unfortunately you are going to have to wait until it is born and have a paternity test done.
