I was involved in a car accident Nov 3,2008. The other party was at fault, has insurance, but I have to pay for car rental extras, lost 2 days of work and deductible to my body shop. I do not see what the point is in getting the other party's insurance. I also found out that my insurance states the other party's insurance is slow to pay to the tune of 180 days. I am already late on rent, short on livable cash, etc. What are my options in Texas?

Let your insurance pay and have them get it back from the other company, assuming you have full coverage.

But until they pay you will have to pay for all of it, and then expect them to pay you back, keep all the records of what you pay.

Did you file a claim against the other policy?
