My old friend is taking me to small claims court for 1100.00. I was living in a house which he does not legally own in his name but he would collect the rent everymonth and give it to the man that owns the house. I moved out and owed 1100.00 when I left. I did not have a signed lease or anything like that. I can not pay him so he got an lawyer and is planning on taking me to small claims court I assume that is really the only thing he can do. My parents bought me a car a few years ago under their name I paid it off and the title is being switched to my name now. IF I am sued can they put a lien on my car?

First, in most small claims courts you can't use a lawyer. Second, the ONLY grounds he would have to sue you is if he paid the rent to the owner on your behalf. Otherwise the actual landlord would have to sue.

If he wins the suit, he may be able to garnish your salary and/or attach your bank accounts. Its unlikley he would go after the car, but he might.
