We didn't used to have the problem but suddenly when you use water somewhere else in the house, the person in the shower can get scalded or frozen. I understand what is happening in general, but like I said, it didn't used to do this. Is there some kind of valve somewhere that could cause this problem. And if so, can I fix it?:o

Hey DKMKB59:
Sounds like the anti-scald assembly in your anti-scald shower valve has failed... sounds like it anyway?
What is the name on the shower valve.. How old (approx.)? Any chance you have model number or could post a pic. Of the valve (with trim plate on and trim plate off)... Hmmmm..?
Let me know as much as you can and we will see if your valve is in fact an anti-scald valve... ;)
