Hey everyone. I'll get straight to the point. I have four best friends (2 girls, 2 guys) and I love them all. They are the best! But, the problem is that one of the guys has a deep crush on me. It's been this way for a long time. He is incredibly sweet, nice, and completely understands me, yet I don't think of him as anything more than a close friend. I am flattered by his crush, but I truly can't help who I do/do not like. It seems that whenever I act as good friend should by supporting and caring about him, he falls faster and harder for me. This is hard on both of us. I really don't want to stop being his friend just so he stops liking me, but this crush has really put a strain on our friendship. I have no clue what to do and I want to set things straight without hurting his feelings. This is hard because his friends "egg him on" by blowing whistles whenever we're just hanging out and they always drop hints that we should go out.

I'd be grateful for any tips or suggestions on how to handle this.
And thank youso much for taking the time to read this. =)

Tell him how you feel. Communication is most important. Tell him that he should consider ignoring his friends; they're immature and inconsiderate to make him feel awkward like that. Why do you have to get him to stop liking you? You can still be friends while he may have some feelings for you. Trying to eliminate them completely will only eliminate any friendly feelings as well. Just let him know exactly how you feel. But keep in mind that you might fall for him too, and then you will regret losing his friendship. Always talk to people before doing anything drastic.
