What Age Is Good For Preschool And Does Anyone Know What Kids Have To Know In Order To Qualify?

Great question... I was just pondering the same thing myself. Off to Google...

Hi, Crybaby,
Why not call a pre-school in your local area?
You have some good questions, and they will be able to answer all of them for you. I do wish you the best, and good luck.

The preschool from which my daughter just graduated :) required a child to be 2 1/2 years old as of September. They didn't require them to be potty-trained until 3 1/2. My daughter was there for 3 years.

Call around to the preschools in your area but you should find that most of them have similar requirements.

The preschool that my son goes to, he is 4, does not require anything, you just have to enroll your child. They begin taking them at 6 weeks of age and already have a cirriculum for the babies.

For example at 9 in the morning they all do "pat-a-cake." Things like that.

At 4 years old my son is learning spanish and sign language.

Just call a few preschools in your area, they can tell you better than we can.

Every preschool will have it's own set of pre-requisites. Usually it depends on whether it's a private home or a commercial business.

The one we used for our child required them to be 2 and potty trained

It had a waiting list.

The one I work at is like the one J 9 mentioned. 6 weeks to 12 years, no requirements, just enrollment. All the classes even the infants have a cirruculum and we are easy about potty training. We work with them and they're potty-trained when they're ready.
