I live in Pa. How will filing a PFA against my Israeli husband effect his application for citizenship? He has since received a social security number which he is refusing to give me so I can apply for a divorce. He threatened me. I was told I need to file a P.F.A so if he shows up where I work he can be arrested. I have moved out and he has closed our joint account. Please help, I don't feel safe!

You don't need his social security number in order to file a divorce. File police report and go to the court, get a restraining order.

If he violates his restraining order, he will be arrested, and if you are divorced before he completes his two years term, plus having this violation record, he won't be able to remove the condition by himself. His legal status will be revoked.

Get the restraining order ASAP... read here: WomensLaw.org | Restraining Orders (http://www.womenslaw.org/laws_state_type.php?statelaw_name=Restraining%20Or ders&state_code=GE)
