Have been trying for a baby for a few months now, I am now late for my period, its been about 42 days but have taken 4 hpt's and have all been negative. Can this be wrong? I don't know how long to leave it before I go to my gp? Help

There is a possibility that the pregnancy tests are either inaccurate, or you might not have enough HCG for a positive. Which tests are you using?

Do you have any concerns about your fertility? Are your cycles quite regular?

There is also a chance that your cycle is just off and there is currently no pregnancy. It would seem that that Try not to worry too much about it. It would seem that that the less you stress about pregnancy, the better your chances.

You should probably make a doctor's appointment so they can evaluate you.

Tell them your situation. They will probably give you a pregnancy test and figure out what is going on.

Ive been using clearblue tests, think I might try another once more this week then make an appointment, its hard not to think about it or be stressed, but I have no other stresses in my life at the moment so really can't think why my period is late, have always been regular since finishing my pill. Im healthy & in my early 20's so hopefully will be good news. Fingers crossed!

I recommend getting pregnancy tests from the dollar store... first off, they're only a dollar each. Second, they're extremely sensitive. I once got a positive on a dollar store test just 9 days post ovulation.

How long have you been off the pill? It can take up to six months to have a set in stone cycle after taking the pill.

I buy the 99 cents store ones as well. They have never been wrong.

There may be a possibility that you are pregnant... im going through the same thing right now... are you having some symptoms? I suggest going to the doctors to get a blood test because everyone is different and the hpt tests might now work out for you... they didn't for me... blood tests are more accurate and if you are pregnant they will be able to determine your due date...

Yeah have a few symptons, feel totally bloated & stomach has expanded! Am really tired lately & can't stop going to the loo!
Afraid I can't get a test from a dollar store, I live in the UK, tests are so dear over here! Hopefully my gp will be able to give me some good news
