I am attempting to replace my carrier furnace blower motor. The motor I was sold is missing the yellow speed wire. I was told I wouldn't need it. When I reassemble the unit and power it up there is a solid red light which indicates no errors but the thermostat does not come on. Do I need to reconfigure the blue, red or black wires from the motor?

My crystal ball is broken and since there are 3,437 different style motors it would be nice to know exactly what you are dealing with.
