First off, my GF hasn't been diagnosed with ADD but she has many of the signs off ADD. She is impulsive, poor management skills, trouble paying attention, depressed and lots of other symptoms.

We are going to a mental health doctor later this month to see if she can be diagnosed with anything. I think that her actions are causing problems for me in our relationship. I love her and I know she loves me but I tend to get frustrated with her a lot because of some of the things she does.

My questions are: Is going to see this doctor a good idea? How can I become less frustrated with her? I know its not her fault she does this stuff.

Going to see someone is a good idea. Sounds like she may also have anxiety or maybe even bi-polar. It will be good to be diagnosed by a doctor so she can get things under control. There are medications for most of these problems. I am sure once things are taken care of your relationship will be a lot better. Try to hang in there and be patient.
