Hi again, lkarla_05!

It's really tough being the age that you are! I was there a long time ago...

But, I did still have goals in mind for what I wanted to do and be. In spite of what was going on in my life at the time, with family problems and just growth in ways in general, I knew that if I wanted to achieve something, and if doing so required going from one step to the other in order to achieve the goal, that I'd better be taking the steps necessary to do that.

Really, it's all about choices...

You really, ultimately are in charge of the choices that you make for yourself.

Parents aren't going to be around forever. Mine are long gone...

I do wish that they were here! I miss them so...

But... that's just the way that it is... I've been an adult for a long time. Have to own up to the responsibilities of being an adult.

Everyone has to do that eventually. If they don't, then they haven't grown up...

I remember when my daughter was about 16 and she asked me about paying for things for the house, and it was then, that she realized that she would have to be taking responsibility for the very same kind of things someday.

It was kind of scary for her to realize that...

If you know that you're rude and disruptive sometimes, then choose not to be. That's also is a matter of choice.

At your age, your hormones are kicking in and you probably feel like doing things that are totally off the wall! I know that I did...

Again, a matter of choices...

Your friends right now, aren't going to be the ones who're going to be able to get you somewhere as far as goals that you want to achieve, unless they're also seeking after the same goals. Your teachers are the ones that you need to be pleasing.

Nothing wrong with being looked upon as a dork as long as you're the winner of the prize in the end! Who's the dork, then?

There's an old saying that I learned a long time ago from another teacher friend.

It went like this:

Time will pass, will you?

Please think about that...

Thanks!

P.S. You ever written any poetry or lyrics to a song?

Be who you want to be. If you concentrate in class, there's nothing wrong with you! I went through something quite similar myself - believe me, you will reap the benefits if you work!

If you get a little loud and noisy sometimes, try to pinpoint times when this happens - is it a certain subject? Is it a certain teacher?

I'm probably going to really annoy you now by telling you that I'm a teacher!

you just have to believe in yourself, Ikarla_05. I had throught this before. All people always called me 'Stupid Idiot Girl' and now I had broke the record of my school.
