I really like one of my good friends and over the past month or so I've been trying to get up the courage to tell him that I like him. Unfortunately I really don't have that much experience so I always kind of dissuade myself from telling him. I have a really good feeling that he likes me back but I just don't think I can approach him about my feelings. I talk to him all the time, I mean I can talk to guys and hang out with them with no problem its just when it comes to my feelings I'm not very good with letting others know how I feel. I would talk to my 'girlfriends' about this stuff but I'm not very comfortable talking to them about it, the one friend I do feel semi-comfortable talking to about this stuff tends to worry more about her problems than others. I just don't know how to force myself to go up to him and tell him, I don't even know what I would say to him. If you can help thanks!

Well, how old are the two of you? How do you know each other? You could probably find ways to let him know you're interested without being really direct. Do you ever flirt with him or anything?

We're both 16, I actually met him the beginning of this school year when he began sitting at lunch with another guy friend of mine, but we talk at lunch all the time and we hang out before school at his homeroom, I guess I've kind of tried flirting with him, but Im really not that good at flirting I just don't naturally flirt with guys

You shouldn't force yourself to do things that you aren't ready for. You might want to wait a little longer, or wait for the right moment to tell him.
But, if you are that certain that you want to let him know, I think you should start with a simple conversation, then tell him the truth.
It's always good to let a guy know how you feel towards them, because their response will let you know if they feel the same way back or not.
If he rejects you, then that's okay too. Then you know that he's probably not the right guy for you.
And if he does like you back, then letting him know that you like him too will usually boost up your relationship with him :)
I've been in this situation before, and when I told my guy friend that I liked him, it turned out that he liked me too.
Sometimes, you just got to take that chance with him. Take a deep breath and act like yourself. There's nothing else to it :) Good luck!
