I've heard that Amsoil ATF can be used in a power steering system. Is there any problem with mixing the Amsoil with what's already in the system? I need to change the fluid, but don't want to do the full flush procedure. I'm considering the turkey baster way of doing it - emptying the reservoir and refilling it several times, but wanted to be sure there's no problem in mixing the two fluids.
Thanks!

No problem whatsoever--it comes from the factory with conventional Mercon ATF. I've used the Amsoil Universal Synthetic ATF in my 2000 Ford Taurus' power steering unit since 2001. It runs super quiet and smooth. Do a partial change every 40,000 miles.
Hopefully, you will use the same product in your automatic transmission, changing the fluid and filter every 30,000 miles.

Thanks for the quick reply! Yep - I use the Amsoil ATF in both of my automatics. The cars get better mileage, more power and run cooler. I just needed to confirm about the power steering -
