This is an Odd theory that I came up with but bare with me here.
OK

Does anyone else think there is any connection with cats and spirits ( if you believe in it) or "ghosts"?
Cats are considered "spiritual animals" aren't they?

Have you ever seen a cat freaking out and running around the house, staring at things that aren't there, and following something around the room? I mean I guess it could be a bug, but in the winter?? Cats also FREAK OUT at their tails, when its twitching all crazy as if someone is pulling on it or shaking the tail around. I had a cat that would run away from her own tail, and hit it, then immediately after that follow something invisible around the house and chase after it, then freak out at her tail again.

I don't know maybe I just have too big of an imagination

You, as they say 'are not alone'. I too have watched my cat do some really freaky things. But I have also seen my dog watch something moving around the room. I don't find that strange, cats and dogs are not as gullible as we are.

Awwwww! Yes, my cat definitely freaks out like crazy and runs pretty fast all over the place. I used to ask her what was wrong and realized soon that she was not going to answer me. So I usually just watch her and laugh. Of course after I make sure that she's really okay and all. But you're right. It is as if she DEFINITELY sees something. Aaaand, the can see 6X better than we can in the dark. Unfortunately, my cat freaks out when aaaalll of the lights are ON. I was "warned" when I adopted her that she has these so called "fits".
You've got me curious enough to do some research. Post back if you do happen to hear anything and thanks, I'm not the only one who seems nuts! Kidding... We're just curious creatures ourselves.
