Need to know what wires from ing.switch go to sylnoid, & should there be a constant hot wire going to switch? Has 18.5 hp briggs.

When you try and start themower all it will do is click and after continuos turning the key it will eventuallly start.I replaced the ignition switch.

If you hear a click, that means the solenoid is triggering(switch is working.) Since it will eventually make contact and start, the solenoid high current circuit does not make good connection. Replace the solenoid.
