:confused:My door, when closing, returns to open. The laser is uninterrupted,behaves like something is in the site of the laser. It's an Overhead Door brand.

BD sometimes if the door gets into a bind going down it will reverse itself. Check that all of the rollers are free to turn, if not, lubricate with a good dry lub. Also check the torsion cables on either side of the door and make sure their not frayed and are in good condition. If not, call garage door service company and have them replaced, don't try to do it yourself.

There should be limiter knobs on the motor.
If there is too much downward pressure it will cause the door to go back up. Safety if a child or pet is caught by the door and laser doesn't see them. They are travel limiter and a pressure limiter. If you put a 2x4 on it's side when to the door makes contact it should try to go down but sense more pressure, and reverses.
