The Kitchen Aid dishwasher model KUDS25SHBS1 is on child lock. The manual suggests that you must hold in the "Energy Saver/Dry" button for 4 seconds to reset it. I tried this a few times and it did no good. I disconnected power for a day and I got the same result. I think that it is the control board, 8530929, but need to know if there is anything else I can do. Also the price for the board is almost $112.00. Does anyone have access to a cheaper or used board that could work or is there a way of resetting this without purchasing a new board.

I would contact them about this situation before you replace that board. Tell what a great products they make but you are disappointed in the dishwasher since the child lock will not reset. If you get a hold of the right person they might just send you one under customer good will or tell you how to fix the situation you are in now. Kitchen Aid sent me some new expensive beaters for the expensive mixer I bought the wife 10 years ago. The lady just said she would cover it under good will. If it works great if not you only lost a toll free phone call and a bit of your time. Have your model and serial number when you call this way you do not keep them on the phone while you go to look it up. Customer service never likes to be put on hold. Good luck.
