Actually I don't know as my engineer did it before two years but I have only 3 drives in my pc(120gb hardisk 512 mb ram).should I try to overite windows Xp sp2 or should I contact Microsoft for that.. so that they can provide me the appropriate file.

If this changed recently, then I would use the System Restore feature to go back to a time when it was working.

Having a C Drive is standard. Your D or E drive is probably a CD or DVD drive. So the question is what is the third drive.

Did this just start? What version of Windows? Where you able to do a restore and it just didn't change?

First of all you need to be more specific about what the drives are. This would be my guess:

C: --> onboard hard drive
D: --> Recovery partition (standard on most windows based machines)
E: --> unknown
F: --> cd/dvd rom drive

So for starters we need to know what the description of the E: drive is and is the problem happening when you click on any drive or only a specific one.
