I'm putting in a gameroom in a newly built home, should I run a sub panel to utility room in the basement.I will have 10-12 outlets,6-8 resessed lights,2 dimmer switches,2 hdtv sets, wet bar with refrigator and dish washer, and one large refridgetor, and also a bathroom? Also what gauge wire do you recommend using?

I would suggest a 12 circuit panel with a minimum of a 60 amp circuit breaker at the main panel for a feeder using #6-3 w/ground NM-B (AKA Romex), cable, if Romex is the wiring method.
If more can be served by this new panel, perhaps a 100 amp feeder may be desired.
There is so much more to this project, such as the separation of the neutral and equipment ground at the new panel, bathroom needs a 20 amp circuit, any general purpose outlets left in the unfinished space needs to be GFI, is there at least one smoke detector to protect the basement, GFI outlets near the sink, are a few items that come to mind.
Are you clear with these other issues?
