Have you tried the link in the sticky at the top of this page?

Do you know what state he is in because you can use white pages or yellow page.com.

You can also Google his name and see what information you can get.

There are many sites - zabasearch, people.com - but the information is not always current or correct.

Unfortunately the zabasearch site is a pay site.

People.com seems to be a celebrity search site.

I have never seen a free site for looking for anyone, including looking for myself!

Brandie, I am in the same boat except I am looking for my birth mother. I paid to join a search site and just for fun tried to find myself. I was not there. I got my money back.
I spent a whole day cold calling people out of the phonebook with the same last name. It did not turn up results for me, but my friend found her birth mom that way.
My sister answered a personal ad from her birth mother who sought her out. I am trying free personal ads, but nothing.
I just kept googling her name and I finally got a hit on Ancestry.com. I'm communicating with a gal who thinks she is a distant relative and is going to put me in contact with her. I'll keep you posted on this even though I know it's not my thread. Sorry to hijack.

Agreed concerning people.com. I meant Peoplefinders.com - I prefer Zabasearch myself. More up to date.

JudyKayTee disagrees: Zabasearch is not a pay site - where do you see that it is? I use it all the time for work.

Well,I looked for myself,my past,my everything and it requires me to pay for a 'Premium' search,So Yes it IS a pay site.

Maybe your 'at work' has paid the fee and you don't need to pay additional for standard searches.

BTW,Thanks for the reddie.

*I have also just looked for myself on your peoplefinders.com as well, they want money as well!

The op stated FREE,just in case you missed that, look UP^

Actually I own the company so I know what is paid and what is free.

I don't know why you are having difficult with Zabasearch. If you are "simply" looking for a name and address - which OP seems to asking about - and NOT paying for background info it is free.

I just checked it again to be 100% sure, looked myself up. Sure enough, there's my name, address and phone number. Then I checked Peoplefinders and found my name and City where I live - that would have to be crossed checked with the phone book.

On Peoplefinders if I want a background check I would have to pay but, again, OP is attempting to locate someone, not do a background check.

You're welcome.

Well, not an address,my search shows what city I have lived in and nothing more,If someone was looking to find me today, they would have to pay!

Your welcome

And you didn't tell the OP that she would have to do additional searches in the yellow pages, remember we are not as SMART as you,we need guidance,a few sites you list don't do all the searching for free, they need paid for the actual search, and you deserve a red/disagree for this FACTUAL misrepresentation of fact.

Thank you,your welcome!:(

If the info I have posted is incorrect then I deserve the reddie - no problem with that. As far as bickering back and forth with you, I'm done.

In the case of MY name on Zabasearch - as I said - my name and full address and phone number are given. Until the OP looks up the information on her relative we don't know what is available.

She asked the time, not how to build a watch.

Sorry to continue the hijack, but I made contact with my birth mom's brother. He confronted her about me and she completely denies it. We've decided to let it rest for now and he will continue to communicate with me whether she comes around or not.
He was excited to discover he had a niece! I guess my advice is to keep trying. Keep googling his name and you never know when you'll get a hit.
