I was just wondering if anyone would know if its safe to kiss little puppies while your pregnant? I am almost 6 and a half months pregnant and my dog had he puppies about a month ago. Ive been there to watch and help her deliver if she needed the help, and now since they were a week old till now I've been kissing them and cuddling. I'm scared I might have some where in between given something to my unborn baby like an infection. Is it possible to give an infection to them or a disease? Please ease my mind!

I'm sure you are fine. We don't get the same infections/diseases that dogs do. It's the feces of cats that we have to worry about.

Just stop kissing them, don't mess with their feces, and speak to your doctor about this to ease your mind.

Puppies are sooo cute, you commented on an answer I left on another question, is the baby a boy or girl when are you due? Im due Feb 21st. I don't think that holding the puppies will hurt anything but their germs might make you sick because your immune system is low, just be careful and do not touch or go near their feces or urine.

It's a boy they said but it's not a 100%. I'm due March 8th :) I'm really excited just a little bit nervous.

But I am scared because the father left and he won't come back into town for a year and 6 months so he will not be here for the first year of shayne's life and he does not seem to care at all.
