Hslack20 - There are 5 things that is causeing you your problem;; #1 - no power at the wall receptical- YOU SAY THAT YOU HAVE POWER THERE ,is it 220volts? #2= DEFECTIVE DOOR SWITCH;; #3- Open circuit in the power cord at terminal block;; #4 faulty start switch ;; #5 - defective timer;;
IF you are plannming on doing this yourself , You wil;l need a ( VOLT OHM meter0 one that can handle 220 volts , I CAN give you step by step ofg how to do it
CHECK THE DOOR SWITCH ;; Here's how ;;; #1 - check to make sure door closes property , if it don't and doesent catch ,it will not let the dryer start, ;;#2 - YOU CAN SPOT the switch easly; it is a button or a lever mounted on the inside of the cabinet, to check the switch ,first of all unplug the power cord , lift the dryer top to get to it ;; #3- to test the switch , set the VOLT OHM METER to RX1scale ; CLIP probs of the meter to the switch terminals, after disconnecting the leads going to the switch, CLOSE THE SWITCH WITH YOUR FINGERS :: WQATCH THE METER AND IF IT READS ( ZERO OHMS ) THE SWITCJH IS OK >IF THE METER READS HIGH THE SWITCH IS BAD AND NEEDS REPLACED ;; . GOOD LUCK AND GOD BLESS AND REMEMBER TO DISCONNECT THE POWER< 220 don't have a forgiveing temper [;; STAY SAFE ;; IF you need more help just come back on this posy and holler ;; F.B.E.
