Hi,

I am 23 years aged guy. I had short sight problem from my college days (for 2 years).. but at that time I didn't care and I thought that won't be a problem. One month before I went for eye check-up.. and the doctor told that I have a short sight problem.. my power is -0.75. And he also advised me to wear specs all the time..

My question is..

I am able to see the things that are near, if I keep wearing specs, and then if I remove and see my vision is not that much clear.. that means if I start wearing specs all the time... I have to keep on using it... because when I remove it I am not able to see clearly like the days without specs.
Now, (without specs) I am not able to see the things that are a bit far or distant..

So can I wear specs only when I want to see the things that are in distance? Like watching television, watching black board while attending class.
Or should I be wearing the spectacles all the time?

Please answer me...

The best bet is to follow instructions given to your by your doctor. What EXACTLY is your prescription? You say -.75, is that the left eye, right eye, astigmatism for right eye, left eye? There are a lot more variables that you haven't mentioned, which makes me revert back to my original suggestion: FOLLOW DOCTOR'S ORDERS!

As far as your vision being blurry immediately after removing the glasses is because your eyes have become accustomed to seeing things, the light converging where it needs to within your eye. You take them off, and your eyes need to strain more and work harder to do the job of the prescribed spectacles.
