What is the legally correct way to name and open an estate checking account?

Normally you would put the name of the estate on the header of the check. That's the entity that holds the account. The executor is the one responsible for the account. Is this an estate or a trust ?

Many people will also get a EIN number from the IRS to use for the account. But I don't believe it is requried
