I went to a family party yesterday and all of my aunts and uncles said that I look and act like I'm sixteen but I'm only thirteen. Is that a good thing or a bad thing?

I don't think it's a good or bad thing, it's just a neutral statement.

HI, THEpurplepeanut!

I think that if people are perceiving that you're showing some maturity, then that's a good thing. People will tend to respect those who act mature and are able to show a sense of responsibility.

Thanks!

Same here, a lot of people say I look or act older than I really am, it's not good or bad. Of course if your 13 and you wear pounds of makeup and belly shirts, than you should worry, but I think your family meant it as in your growing up and showing some maturity. Good for you!
