Hi Folks,

Just installed a new Kohler Simplice model, K-R648 faucet, separate base & faucet and it has a slow drip. I ran the hot and cold each for a minute before connecting the base to the faucet when installing. Now I took the base apart and took the plastic valve apart and everything was perfectly clean (is that the 'cartdridge'?). Is there something in the faucet head I should check too?

The faucet has a built in sprayer. Here is the model: KOHLER: K-R648: Simplice™ pulldown kitchen sink faucet: Kitchen (http://www.us.kohler.com/onlinecatalog/detail.jsp?item=11752502&section=1)

Thanks so much for any help!

It looks like you have debris inside the faucet, shut off the water both hot and cold remove the handle and the cartridge, turn on the water for a few secods to flush the debris out of the faucet, close the angle valves and scheck inside the faucet remove any debris if you see, assemble the faucet and check if it will help, good luck.

Hi all...

This thread was started elsewhere which is why I can post the following information... :)

Check out this link fivalg:

Kohler Plumbing (http://www.kohlerserviceparts.kohler.com/ServicePartsPage.aspx?DocumentID=7021d99a08c348d68 014a8904734384c&ModelID=72abe12a1a084358aefe1fcb61775406)

This should be your faucet. This particular faucet has a CERAMIC VALVE (PART # 1017426 at the link... which I think you already removed). I think your best bet will be to call kohler and have them send you a new ceramic valve. It may also be a good idea to have them send you part # 1060800 (washer cups/seal kit). Did you try cleaning the washer cups/seals UNDER the ceramic valve???

Most likely something got into the ceramic valve and there is nothing you can do about this... except get it replaced! Tell Kohler you followed the instructions to the letter and still have this issue. If they don't cooperate then just tell them you are taking it out and RETURNING IT from where you got it. They won't like that... ;)

Let us know what you do...
