I have a craftman 12.5 HP lawn tractor that will not start,no clicking, no anything.I put a new batt. In last week and it ran fine, tried yesterday and nothing. Took batt. Back to have checked and was good.Could it be the ignition switch?Batt. Wires looked good .

I,
Most likely a safety switch! Most machines require the brake bieng pushed(has to "know" this) and an operator on the seat(operator presence.) There are some variations of these rules but all are basically law.
To check lock parke brake, tranmission in neutral(if gear drive) locate solenoid and jump from battery side(one connected to the + post of the battery) to the small trigger post(generally red wire) of the solenoid. If it turns overit is in the electrical system. Note: the steps mentioned first were for safety and did not check anything. Look for the brake switch and its activation.
Peace,
Clarke
