When I showed my boyfriend my stomach, which is a lot bigger and firmer than before (I may be about a month or 2?) he seemed unusually happy about it. I mean like, he's going to be 17 this year and he loves his fun life and playing guitar... so I really didn't expect him to act the way he did. We actually laid together in silence listening to 3 Little Birds by Bob Marley, and he started crying (but he was smiling)... do you think he might be hiding some fear?? Or should I talk to him about ALL the responsibilities? We talked about it but I'm not sure if he's really soaked it in. I'm just worried that he's feeling scared about it. I really hope he's actually THAT happy about a new experience, even if it means working hard and giving up a few nights of fun. I'm definitely ready! Thanks :)

Sounds like he may be more responsible and happy about the idea of being a dad. Many guys his age would have freaked out, ran off and demanded they ''get an abortion because they are not paying''
You need to just start talking like a normal couple about things that need to be done. Don't put it in scary or demanding ways.

It is likely his feelings will jump all over as the months go by. It would be perfectly normal if they did. Like NOhelp4u suggested, talk about what things you can both do to be prepared. You have a fair amount of time for it to sink in and to discuss the decisions you will need to make along the way and afterwards.

In your other thread you stated that you haven't yet taken a pregnancy test. I would make sure that you're pregnant first, then make your plans.
even if it means working hard and giving up a few nights of fun.
As for this part, LOL, a few nights? Try every night for the next 18 + years. :)
Good luck.

Um yeah... do you even know for sure you're pregnant? And you're letting this poor guy think you could be just because you like the thought of it? (Obviously)
Not right.

Yes, and of course the issue is also he may not realise what all the changes will be either.

It's hard to say what he thinks about the baby since there might not even be one yet.
Take that pregnancy test and see your doctor as we have advised you in your other thread.

Thanks guys :P I know it's going to be every night but I don't go out much anyway (I'm a hermit :P) so I won't be missing out on too much.. . Haha and don't worry he's totally aware that I haven't yet taken a test yet... and I'm not like, "Hey man we're gonna be taking care of a baby in 9 months".. lol it's more like... "baby, we might be having a miracle!".. Aries, of course I'm going to let him know that I might be pregnant, that's definitely his business, really whether he likes the thought or not. I do feel really bad if he's scared :(... but he seems to be happy that we might get to experience something so new and divine soon, well, that's what he claims :P
