On Nov. 17th 2008 I had an a\c repairman to come to my home to check out why my thermostat (Honeywell) didn't have a read out on it also from the thermostat I could not turn on the A\c or heat, He replaced a 3 amp fuse on the circuit board and said that was the problem, he did also walk outside to inspect the unit. After replacing the 3 amp fuse he instructed me to turn on the furnace which I did and allowed it to run for about 5 minutes all seemes fine. On yesterday the 18th I set the unit for the a\c to turn on iwas only going to test it. When I got in from work about 1 a.m. this morning I went to check to see if the unit came on to my dismay the thermostat readout was gone again and just as before the thermostat would n ot allow the unit to operate. I have an Amana unit with the model # GUIC070M40 and serial # 0009243938 these numbers are per the a\c tech, I am unable to find this model number on the web period, I also would like to find out where the circuit board and transformer on this unit. The furnace and the evaporator are in the attic packaged together.
