Gentlemen,
I recently bought a house that was built circa 1980. It had an oil furnace on one side of the basement with a jensen wood/ coal furnace on the other side of the basement. I had to replace the oil furnace , and did so with an electric furnace and a heat pump. With my intentions of using the jensen for heat when the temps dropped. I had it serviced and the chimney swept , cut 4 cords of seasoned hardwoods, ready to go, I thought. Fired it up tonight!! I have no idea on how to set the vent/ flu, or air intake settings on this thing. I have no directions for it. So I no idea if I'm just burning through my wood or if I'm efficiently making heat. Any help let me know. Thanks

Best advice I can give is,, you need to experiment to find what suits your needs.

Don't worry, I'm sure there will be much better advice here soon.
