My husband and I just purchased a house and decided to remove the sliding glass shower doors from the tub frame (non-ceramic, plasticky type). After we removed the hardware and tracks we noticed long lines of clear sealant that will not pull off. I am afraid of using a widget or any type of razor for fear that it will scratch the surface...

Does anyone know what kind of solvent will remove this?
Thanks in advance!:)

I would recommend that you do not use any solvents unless you get good information that it will not damage the tub surface. It may be GE silicon that is on the tub, I have had luck by getting the edge to peel up just a bit and then pulling it off bit by bit. If you do damage the surface slightly it can be re-polished... Good luck.
