My father past march 1,of this year,my question is when I dream of him he's always alive and healthy and I'm wondering if its because I may not be dealing with things the way I should be or may not have acepted his death. If this is the case is thre a way to mange the acceptance through my dreams?

Did you weep plenty when this did happen? Sometimes when people try to hide their feelings or hold back and try to be to strong, its not the proper way to get over things.

Just because someone has passed away in real life doesn't mean that they also have to be dead in your dreams. To the contrary, dreaming about your father as alive and well is a perfectly healthy way of dealing with your loss. More than that, when you dream of him, he is able to give you his comfort, his love, even words of advice as he would have given them. It's a wonderful benefit to dreaming.

I know that I have dreamed of everyone I have lost at one time or another. One of my favorite kinds of dreams are when my old cats come to visit me. We play around just like we used to; they keep me company; we just get to love spending a little more time with each other. It's perfectly normal.

Now, if you don't think that you gave yourself enough time or openness to grieve, you should allow yourself to mourn, even now. When people block the natural mourning processes, their unresolved grief will still show up later in their lives. Do what comes naturally, and remember the good things. It will make your difficult loss easier to bear.

There is a way to accept this in your dreams. First of all tell me, does the place you dream of him seem familiar? What is the atmosphere like? All the details are important and if your father was ill in life, like he had some form of ailment that always plagued him. Or plagued him for a long time, then the fact that you see him healthy means that he is. It means that he is okay and everything that bothered him in life, no longer does. So many people are in search of the fountain of youth, but what many don't know is that the true fountain is on the other side.

There is also a difference between dreams and not dreaming when it comes to seeing your deceased loved ones. Sometimes it may seem like a dream but it is indeed a meeting place and they will usually meet you somewhere they or you feel comfortable. Or in a place that was last known to them.
