Hello
I have kind of a problem and no one knows what to do, especially me! I have beautiful dark dark brown hair. I don't know why, but I let someone highlight my hair blonde about 2 years ago. They turned orange, so I dyed my hair dark brown again to get my color back and I was happy. Within a month, my hair started to turn orange again. I live in the country and we have hard water there, so dying it isn't really an option anymore, because the dye just isn't compatible with my water. I dyed my hair brown again and was happy for, again, about a month. I am sitting here 2 years later waiting for my hair to grow out. My roots are nicely dark brown, but the ends are a lighter brown/orangey/red color. I do not like it. My neighbor suggested hair stripping. She said it would rid my hair of the dye and get my color back, but I read that hair stripping takes ALL the color, and I just want my hair color back! How can I get my beautiful color back? Please Help!

To get back your color, you may need to do a tint-back. A tint-back is when a hairstylist tries to match your natural color. I recommend consulting a hairstylist in choosing the right shade.

Thank you very much for a reply, I'll ask my hairstylist about a possible tint-back.
Thanks!

I feel so awful about my hair color I just do not know what to do... Had a perm, did well but lightened a huge amount... colorist said wait one week and we will color it... I did and w/i 1 shampoo the red was gone and I was lefft with a mucky brown color... re colored myself, but got scared and took it off sooner than the recommended time. Can I recolor with the same color within 6-7 days?
