Ok, I have a Maytag refrigerator model MZD2768GE and it is not getting cold on either side. The moter sounds like it's working, the interior light works, and the water machine on the door works. I moved into my new home and the appliance was already here. It was hardly used but purchased around 2005 (second home for women who traveled a lot). This means the warranty is no longer valid. Is there some part I can just order and replace or is the refrigerator dead?

Dnaposse - It could be the thermostat or it could be low on freeon , I would go with #2 answer first. You will have to get a service person out to put gagesc on and find out for sure, he could also check the thermostaty IF it needs freeon then have him to check to see where the leak is and repair or in about a montgh or less you will be right back in the same trouble again Good luck and GOD BLESS ::F.B.E.
