Hello... I have a GE Profile side by side refrigerator model # tfx22ppdacc . It is 8 years old and just recently developed this problem. No water from dispenser in door. Ice and crushed ice works but no water.. We replaced the water filter this past August so I'm pretty sure that is not the problem. Can anyone help me with this problem or am I left to face the EVIL GE REPAIR MONSTER!! THAT STARTS BY TAKING YOUR FIRST BORN AND THEN YOUR BANK ACCOUNT..... Thanks in advance... Thirsty and Scared... John

Hi jhon,
First you make sure that the solenoid at the back of the fridge is clicking or has power once you press the level at the front to dispense water.
If it does and it clicks but no water is coming out, check the solenoid, it may have a screen at it's inlet. It could be clogged.
If no screen then replace the water inlet solenoid valve.
If there is no power then it would be your control module. The electronic board which is pretty expensive but if you know how to replace a relay, then you will save a lot.
This board has relays that controls the solenoids, the dispenser water for ice and the ice maker water inlet too.
One of these small black relays controls the water inlet solenoid for your dispenser.
Make sure you test the board by hearing a clicking sound once somebody pressed the lever at the front to dispense water.
If there is no clicking sound, you might want to test the switch at the lever side. It could just be the problem.
